The B&B is a single family home, in which we live on the third floor. The other two floors are for the B&B guest. We have three rooms available, and can accommodate up to 8 guest’s max.

The B&B area is spacious and open, and provides many different areas to read, relax, or watch a movie. The Mountain Whisper’s Room has a full size futon, in addition to the queen bed and shares a bath with the Northwoods Room, which has two twin beds and is the smallest room.The Denali Room has a queen bed and has a private bath with a Jacuzzi tub and shower.

How far are you from the town of Talkeetna?

We are located at mile 10.7 and the townsite of Talkeetna is at mile 14.

Do you pick guest up from the train?

Yes, we will pick you up downtown after 3pm. We are located 3 miles from town. You may rent bicycles downtown. The train station is located about a mile from town so you may need to inquire about leaving your bags at the train station until I can pick you up. The train from Anchorage usually arrives into Talkeetna at 1130am, so you will need to find something to occupy your time until 3pm.

How far are you from Anchorage?

We are located 2-½ hrs from Anchorage.

How far are you from Denali National Park Entrance?

We are located 2-½ hrs from the park entrance.

What is there to do in Talkeetna?

What is the size of Talkeetna?

Talkeetna is a tiny Alaskan Village, with about 900 year around residents. You will not find any red lights, billboards, mayors or a city hall.

Do you allow animals?

You may bring animals as long as they stay outside and leashed. We have chickens, goats and a rabbit.

Do you allow guest to prepare meals in your kitchen?

No, due to liability issues, we do not have anywhere available to prepare any meals.

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Yes, you will be served a full hot breakfast in the formal dining room at 8am. Should you have an early flight or fishing adventure, I will happily serve an earlier breakfast, however I must know ahead of time.

Do you have an early check in?

Check in is between 3pm and 5pm. Please DO NOT arrive prior to 3pm and if you will be arriving after 5pm,please call with the exact time or else you may not be able to check in.

What time is check out?

Check out time is 11am.

Can you see Mt.McKinley from the B&B?

Yes, we have a great view from the dining room, great room and wrap around decks, on CLEAR DAYS.

Can you see the Northern Lights from the B&B?

It does not get dark enough in the summer to see the Northern Lights. They can be seen starting in late August until March, depending on conditions…
